LEVEL UP-GENerating change in Ukraine

For a year and a half (1.1.2023 – 1.06.2024), LOES and GEN Ukraine worked together on the project »LEVEL UP-GENerating change in Ukraine«. The project’s goal was to strengthen GEN Ukraine as an organization, promote green entrepreneurship opportunities for people in eco-communities, and strengthen the network with other NGOs, national stakeholders, and local authorities.

What the project has done:

  • Benefited over 450 eco-community members and 450 internally displaced persons through activities such as courses, conferences, etc. 
  • Trained 60 people in green entrepreneurship, which has strengthened their productive skills and potential for income-generating opportunities as residents of the eco-communities. 
  • Established 4 bicycle workshops that not only repair mechanical bicycles but also manufacture electric bicycles. 
    Organized 12 workshops to share knowledge and build bridges with local authorities.

LOES thanks GEN Ukraine for the good work. The partnership grows stronger through mutual learning, support and cooperation. We will continue our work and support the sustainable reconstruction together with GEN Ukraine in our upcoming projects.
