The Starter Kit Project

There are a lot of new communities and eco-communities and we share many of the same challenges when it comes to starting up. This project collects experiences from communities all over Denmark in a freely accessible database for anyone who dreams of starting a new community.

The knowledge bank

The Knowledge Bank is an online database of practical experiences from housing communities and eco-communities throughout the country. The Knowledge Bank is a kind of ‘library’ of real examples of how other communities have been started and organized. Among the 5 categories; community, sustainability, organization, municipal cooperation and economy and law, you can click around between the different subcategories and you can read about everything from communal dining schemes to supply systems and local plans.

The Knowledge Bank is freely accessible to everyone and you can find the right here.

The starter acks

The starter packs are a free offer for all eco-communities and housing communities in the starting phase. The starter packs only collect the most important and most general experiences from among the 5 categories: community, sustainability, organization, municipal cooperation and economy and law.

Get access to the starter packs here.

The knowledge bank and the starter packs are part of the Starter Pack Project, which is a collaboration between the Danish Association for Eco-Friendly Communities and Bofællesskab.dk and funded by RealDania.

It is always welcome to have more volunteers involved in the projects, so that the project manager is not responsible for all the tasks.
