SOCIOCRACY ON THE LOOSE – ATTEND A WORKSHOP

February 27 – March 1, 2026
In the eco-community Permatopia
Køgevej 15b, 4653 Karise with Steffen Emrich from Germany (English)

Many eco-communities in Denmark work with sociocracy – either fully or by being inspired by the sociocratic methods and tools that seek to promote dialogue, inclusion and shared ownership.

In LOES, we want to strengthen this movement. Sociocracy offers structures that make it easier to make decisions together, create transparency and give space to everyone’s voices. It is not about rules for the sake of rules, but about finding forms that make everyday life in communities more flexible and cooperation more sustainable.

By supporting eco-communities in developing and testing sociocratic practices, we contribute to communities being stronger – both socially, organizationally and as inspiration for the green transition in the rest of society. That is why we hold courses in sociocracy through the Erasmus+ program, with external facilitators. This makes it easier to share sociocracy in communities around us.

The invitation is that you participate with, for example, a small group of 3 people from your eco-community, so that you have a platform to work together from afterwards.

PARTICIPANT PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION

The cost is 500 DKK per person for the weekend course including board and lodging. The time frame is from 4 pm Friday to 4 pm Sunday.

Courses with LOES

LOES holds weekend courses and other shorter courses that can improve the skills of both people from eco-communities and other interested parties. Here you can delve into a specific topic while visiting an eco-community and get a taste of the community that has been created there. In this way, bridges are built between eco-communities and different target groups. We are happy to advertise when our members hold courses.

Would you like to HOLD A COURSE?

If you, as a teacher in an eco-community, want to hold a course, you can do so through LOES.

For example, if you want to host a weekend in the ‘Live and Learn in Eco-Community’ course series, a set of guidelines has been prepared that can be downloaded here
