LOES runs a number of educational activities.
The Sustainability Wheel developed by GAIA Education with its 4 dimensions forms the educational background of the eco-community movement. There is much to learn in and from eco-communities and in LØS we have a growing network of educators who together develop and offer courses. A strategy for LOES’ educational activities has been developed, which the education circle is responsible for implementing.

Sociocracy workshop in Permatopia in South Zealand
LOES invites you to three-day workshops on sociocracy in the eco-community Permatopia from February 27 – March 1, 2026
Fridays with community
Monthly online meetings with a focus on sharing experiences and mutual inspiration on topics that are relevant in housing communities and eco-communities. Feel free to suggest a topic!
Teacher network
Teachers and consultants who are affiliated with LOES and offer their teaching through LOES. The educational activities are developed together. A place for exchange of experiences.
live and learn in eco-communities
Short courses where you learn about a topic within the sustainability circle over a weekend. In a new eco-community each time. We have been doing this for several years – and it will continue.
Ecovillage design education
A life-changing Gaia Education course for those who want to create and live in a community. Held in collaboration with Avnø Oasis College 1-2 times a year.
erasmus+
Erasmus+ is an opportunity for continuing education that teachers can take in Europe with Erasmus+ support through LOES’ continuing education program. You go out – and come home and give back.
