Sociocracy and Meeting Management

Achieve more transparent and efficient structures and decision-making processes

Sociocracy is a decision-making structure and form of leadership that is based on equality, transparency and effective participation. In contrast to hierarchical models, sociocracy emphasizes that all members of an organization or group have influence on decisions that affect them.

This is done through a circle structure, where each circle (or group) has a clear purpose and autonomy within its area, but also connections to superior or subordinate circles via double connections.

These connections ensure that information and decision-making power flows in multiple directions.

Sociocracy meeting management strengthens community, responsibility and cooperation, and is used in everything from housing associations and NGOs to companies and schools that want a more democratic and inclusive culture.

February 27, 2026: Community Preparedness: How Are We Stronger Together?

How do we prepare as a community for a future with more disruptions to everyday life? Climate change, extreme weather, uncertain supplies of energy, water, food and internet are placing new demands on how we think about security and preparedness – both as individuals and as communities.

For this edition of Fridays with Community, we focus on preparedness in communities:

  • What does it mean to have a joint preparedness?
  • How does it differ from individual preparedness?
  • What practical steps can we take together?

Today’s program begins with two experts sharing their knowledge and experience with crisis preparedness, resilience and collaboration in communities. They will offer concrete suggestions on how housing communities can prepare themselves – both practically and socially – to handle unforeseen events.

After the presentations, participants are invited to a joint discussion, where there will be an opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas. The experts actively participate as sparring partners and share inspiration on how you as a community can take the first steps towards building a joint preparedness.

The event will take place at the Kløverbakken Housing Community near Odder.

It is possible to register for physical participation or via Zoom.
