Who are we?
LOES unites the Danish ecocommunities. Our vision is a sustainable Denmark where ecocommunities, eco-communal values, and lifestyles are widely embraced.
LOES stands for the Danish ecocommunal network in danish. We are an association for all Danish ecocommunities – both established communities and those in the making. Since 1993, our mission has been to promote ecocommunities in Denmark and inspire the wider society toward a more sustainable way of life.

At LOES, our three core areas are:
Providing a networking platform that facilitates valuable exchange of experience among our members.
Leading projects that contribute to the sustainability agenda—both nationally and internationally, in collaboration with green partners.
Advocating for policies that connect, inform, educate, and spread eco-communal lifestyles across both rural and urban areas.

International Network
LOES is part of the larger international network, the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN)—a strong alliance connecting ecocommunities across the globe. We also work closely with the European network, GEN Europe.
