In 2024, LØS has the opportunity to invite three long-term volunteers to work with us through the European Solidarity Corps. A unique experience, where you will take part in the ecovillage movement and lifestyle in Denmark, fully funded by the ESC programme. Read more about the available position below.

The European Solidarity Corps is an EU funding programme for young people wishing to engage in solidary activities in a variety of areas. These range from helping the disadvantaged to humanitarian aid, as well as contributing to health and environmental action across the EU and beyond.

In 2024 we are inviting three volunteers to work with us. Two volunteers have already been identified, but we are still looking for one more person to join the team.


The volunteer will be working with PROJECTS in Ghana, Ukraine and Erasmus+ as well as educational activities with short and long courses.


Apart from working with LOES 3 times a week, 2 days will be in the hosting ecovillage, where tasks can include everything from cooking shared dinners with the community cooking teams, assisting in the gardens and running activities in a nearby asylum center. Once weekly, the whole team will have an office day together, in Mette’s ecovillage.


The right candidate should have a basic understanding of and an interest in sustanability. Also, you have to be ready to take part in community life in an ecovillage in the countryside – 52 adults, 30 children, 10 horses, gardens, a lake, a forest etc.


Period: 15. April 2024 -31. December 2024/February 2025


Venue/where to live: In the ecovillage Hallingelille around 45 minutes outside Copenhagen.


Costs: All costs are covered by the ESC programme (transport, accommodation, feeding, insurance and pocket money)


We are looking for a composition of all genders, ages (max. 30 years of age) and preferably someone who lives within the EU.
